Il “Campanil Lab” di Burano è un laboratorio artigianale familiare, situato nel cuore dell’isola proprio ai piedi del campanile pendente, vera e propria attrazione dell’isola. L’isola di Burano è una delle più affascinanti e pittoresche isole della Laguna di Venezia, famosa in tutto il mondo per la nobile arte del merletto. Il merletto di Burano era un’arte che incontrava diversi ceti sociali: per le nobili donne espressione di creatività femminile, per le suore un esercizio di umiltà e contemplazione e per le classi meno agiate una fonte di guadagno. We present our customers a wide variety of beautiful, eye catching lace products to enhance both the home and fashion, mementos of your unique and unforgettable visit to Burano. With one eye on the past and one eye on the future, ‘Campinil Crafts’ offers traditional designs and we also reinterpret those ancient collections to bring you exciting, new, creative artefacts. Lace making used to be a skill that crossed all social boundaries: for noblewomen it was an expression of feminine creativity; for nuns it was an exercise in humility and contemplation; and for the poorest it was simply a source of income.
